Taking the city by storm, the boom bap live, a monthly event, has taken Nashville by storm.

Last Saturday, the 5spot was the location for hip hop purist to come and hear spins from true turntablist. It became an old school house party as attendees threw inhibitions to the wind and danced to Wu-Tang tracks, beastie boys sets, and other classic and underground tracks.

Heads were nodding and perceptions were shook as rhythms invaded the area.

Once again a mother event serves as a reminder that Nashville is more than just country music.
